What to Bring
1. EACH STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR OWN COAST GUARD APPROVED LIFE JACKET (vest type recommended).
LIFE JACKETS WILL BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON THE DOCKS AND WATER.
2. SWIM CHECK:
A mandatory swim check will be the first day of class. All students will be asked to swim a short distance and show their ability to tread water. Students should bring a change of clothes and a towel.
3. SNEAKERS OR BOAT SHOES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES (except during the swim check).
4. Special Events: Day trips will be held at various times. These will be scheduled as far in advance as possible.
5. NBYA Junior Regattas are held at various locations and times, see www.nbya.org. Students in the three Racing classes are encouraged to participate and Intermediates & Intro. to Racing could with Instructor permission. NBYA registration is additionally required. See instructors for details.
